Neighborhood meeting
On June 22, my team and I kicked off our election campaign with a public neighborhood meeting. With around 250 people from my constituency we discussed the problems that challenge them in their everyday lives. This is because I want to develop my priorities in discussion with the people for whom and with whom I want to make policy as a member of parliament. To this end, we rang over 5,000 doorbells in advance and used these conversations to identify people’s most important concerns: affordable weekly shopping, affordable rents and free, well-developed public transport. The residents of the constituency themselves had their say – because we decide together what solutions are needed.
